About Me
Who I Am
Iām Lyndon Medina, a 33-year-old Brazilian, married since 2016 to Kenelin Medina (attorney), and father of Lauren. I belong to the fourth generation of Seventh-day Adventists in my family, and I was the first to pursue pastoral ministry. I pastored for six years in Brazil, serving in urban and rural contexts. I am currently fulfilling a long-held dream by pursuing the Master of Divinity (MDiv) at Andrews University (2024ā2026), with the desire to further equip myself and continue serving in pastoral ministry.
I love being a pastor and being connected to the life of the church. It is in contact with people and in teaching the Bible that I find much of the joy of my ministry. Along this journey, discipleship, church planting, evangelism, and working with youth and young adults have marked my life and my ministry. In that context, I became involved in founding Pathfinder and Adventurer clubs, as well as mission projects aimed at reaching the local community. Today, in addition to Portuguese, I have continued preaching and ministering in English and Spanish.
Outside the routine of ministry, I enjoy technology. In my family, I am usually the person everyone turns to when something tech-related comes up. I also love discovering new places, especially with my wife and daughter. I like playing volleyball, and I have a collection of coins from different countries. Contrary to what many people expect from a Brazilian, I like American football more than soccer. Jonah is my favorite biblical character, and Proverbs 23:15ā18 is one of the passages that has deeply marked my life.
